Amego is the silent, trusty companion that gives parents insight when their children are out of sight – and gets kids outside again! The unobtrusive app sends you an immediate notification if your child doesn’t arrive somewhere they should or if they go beyond your sanctioned safe “play zone”. But if all is as expected, you won’t hear from it.

Developed in conjunction with child-safety campaigners Bruce and Denise Morcombe, Amego is designed to empower ‘kids to be kids’ once more. You simply:

- Save your child’s trips and expected timings and receive notifications if they are delayed, stray from the normal path or begin moving abnormally quickly.

- Set a “play zone” in which they can freely roam and be alerted if they go outside of it.

Amego gives freedom of movement to your whole family at the one cost as it can be installed on multiple devices under Apple’s family sharing function. It is this easy:

- You create a family group and “invite” your other members to join

- They “accept” and download the app

- You choose who gets the notifications if something is out-of-the-ordinary

- Your family is connected and protected.

If Amego detects there is something awry with your child’s movements, it will not only send you an alert but also begin displaying their location on a map so you can act to help them. But if nothing unexpected happens, the app will stay silent and in the background. And it sits quietly on your child’s phone.

Walking home from school… getting yourself to footy practice… playing with the neighbourhood kids… with Amego you can confidently let your children do all the things you did growing up.

Your family’s Amego – giving kids independence and parents peace of mind.

Important: While Amego is a reliable and helpful tool, it can be affected by network instability. The app is designed to notify parents if it stops functioning for some predictable reason (a trip is not completed). But it should not be used as your only method of supervision or in an emergency. iPod touches are not suitable for this app as they cannot access a network when not on WiFi.

This app can use GPS in the background mode. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
